Exercise

One useful tool when it comes to managing anger is regular exercise. Exercise helps lower blood pressure which not only helps with anxiety but also anger episodes.

When we have been feeling angry, whether on a big or small scale, our body builds up energy. Regular exercise can help us release this energy in a healthy way.

It also help our body release feel-good chemicals which will help us feel more calm and happier in general.

We would like you to take a couple of minutes to think about which physical activities you enjoy doing and make a plan to do some exercise this week – don’t worry, this doesn’t mean running a marathon or climbing a mountain!

It can simply be a bike ride with friends, a walk on the prom or playing footie in the park. Pick something you enjoy doing and you will be more likely to do it!
